Beija is a perfectly balanced blend of the finest cachaças from the states of Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais. Blending allows our master distiller to isolate and reveal the finest elements of each individual cachaça.

The concept of blending has been used for centuries with fine scotches. Blending the finest single malt scotches allows distillers to achieve a smoother, more consistent flavor than is possible with traditional single malt scotch.

Our master distiller applies the same time-honored blending techniques to every batch of Beija. The result is a smoothness and mixability that simply cannot be achieved by traditional cachaças.

Cachaça

Unlike traditional rums, which are distilled from molasses, cachaça is by definition distilled from pure sugarcane juice. Cachaça is actually the world’s third most consumed distilled spirit, but in the US it still falls under the broader heading of ‘rum’.

In 2003, the Brazilian government nominated cachaça as the country’s national spirit, and now Brazil is the only country that can produce cachaça.
