Beija Gives Back

We at Beija are proud to be able to offer you the smoothest cachaça in the world from one of the most vibrant countries in the world. However, it is not lost on us that over 40% of Brazilian children up to 2 years of age suffer from malnutrition. 29% percent of the population lives on less than $1 per day. These people, and especially the children, lack access to running water and basic sanitation. Unemployment is rife, health services are scarce, and – for those children who can obtain a school place – the quality of education is very limited.

We at Beija are committed to using our resources to better the lives of Brazil’s poorest children. That is why we strongly support the ABC Trust. On the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, Beija hosts our signature event series titled Beija's Art of the cocktail. 100% of the ticket cost for this series is donated directly to the ABC Trust.

The ABC Trust works directly with street children who have been driven onto the streets for many different reasons and helps them to find ways back into family and community life. But they also take a preventative approach and work with individual families and whole communities so they can provide at least the basic elements of a secure and happy childhood so that no child need ever resort to a life on the streets of Brazil.
